Senior Front-end Developer

Our IT Team alone consists of more than 200 experts who work on various internal and external projects. The workload is divided among smaller teams, such as: 

  • Core Team: works on our AI systems and provides long-term technical solutions such as infrastructure, framework, libraries, processes, tools, guidelines, etc. 
  • Merchant Solutions: maintains our API, deploys new and existing ecommerce platforms, and works on other customer-facing features
  • Fulfillment & Stock: ensures every order from our customers is sent to the Printful system and our production equipment 
  • Billing, Warehousing & Fulfillment, Shipping, and several other teams that are in charge of other Printful services and tools

Printful front-end developers own the Design System and build performant, reliable, secure, responsive, and accessible designs that resonate with our customers. We’re looking for a skilled Senior Front-end Developer to help our team succeed. 

Your daily tasks will entail:

  • building performant and scalable front-ends
  • configuring web bundling/build tools (preferably Webpack) to achieve web-optimized builds (chunk splitting, tree-shaking, etc.)
  • writing automated UI component test suites
  • mentoring teammates and assisting with development best practices
  • leading the development of the Design System and reusable UI component libraries
  • analyzing performance and UX issues (responsivity, layout shift, and accessibility)
  • making architectural decisions for new front-end projects
  • helping other teams with architectural questions and implementation

What we expect from you: 

  • 5+ years of experience in front-end development
  • experience with:
    • Flux-inspired state management solutions like Redux or Vuex
    • Vue application writing
    • modern JavaScript development (EcmaScript 2020 and up), its tooling (build tools, linters, dev-tools), and ecosystem
    • JavaScript engines (event loop, garbage collection)
  • excellent written and spoken English
  • strong communication skills
  • analytical approach to problem-solving
  • desire to learn and master new technologies 
  • genuine interest in crafting exceptional UX

Experience with any of the following will be considered as an advantage:

  • scalable and modern styling approaches (utility-first CSS frameworks; PostCSS processing)
  • A11y and writing accessible UIs
  • Node.js (writing CLI tools, servers, etc.)
  • writing Server-Side-Rendered JavaScript applications 
  • TypeScript
  • front-end performance analysis and metrics (Core Web Vitals; Google Lighthouse; Real User Monitoring tools)
  • contributing to the open-source JavaScript ecosystem (submitting issues and pull requests to open source tools)
  • consuming GraphQL APIs
  • CI/CD and Docker
